Pigs at Slaughter

Every day, 10,000 six-month-old pigs are forced into steel chambers and lowered into CO2 gas at Fearman’s slaughterhouse in Burlington, Ontario. While people sip coffee and chat in a nearby café just steps from the slaughterhouse, the pigs' screams for help go unheeded. The cognitive dissonance is surreal and frightening.
Each one of these pigs was an individual with a unique personality, their own likes, dislikes, fears, desires, and a will to live. Please, see them.
