I am thrilled to announce that my series of six photos entitled, “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” won first place in the category of Nature, Told by Women - a global photography competition organized by Fundacion Desea.

This series of photographs tell the story of sentient beings who are exploited by the meat and dairy industries. Peering from transport trucks - confined, concealed, and hidden from the eyes of the public - as they are carried to slaughter.

My hope is that they will awakening hearts and minds, and encourage the public to bear witness to the suffering that mostly goes unseen, and to acknowledge the role we each play in it.
